Yacht Sail Training for Teenagers through Irish and French

language-courses

Irish Offshore Sailing, a newly opened yacht training centre in Dun Laoghaire are now offering Yacht Sail Training to teenagers, from 15-18. This no ordinary sailing course, our morning course is run entirely through Irish! Our afternoon course is run entirely through French!

Sailing is all about communicating, to carry out any manoeuvres on a yacht, all students are constantly communicating with their instructor and with each other in the chosen language. This is far more beneficial than any grind, and infinitely more fun!!! The emphasis here is bringing the language to life, and gaining a confidence and enjoyment in using it, so whether you are flying or struggling in a language, you will see a major improvement as the week progresses.

Our courses are run on our 37 foot yacht “Desert Star” recently refitted with state of the art equipment, the courses will start and leave from Dun Laoghaire Marina each day.
