This vessel is in excellent condition having undergone a €20,000 refit in March 2011. She is now equipped to the highest spec for a vessel of this kind and is a responsive, fast cruiser racer, with a very spacious comfortable interior.

If you have never taken a sailing holiday before, then skippered charter is a great start.

Taking a €100,000 yacht out on bare boat yacht charter can be daunting and stressful for some people. If you would like the confidence and comfort of having an experienced professional onboard with intimate knowledge of the coastline to provide a helping hand as you require it, then skippered charter may be the right option for you.

In many cases, families with young kids might just need an extra adult to help with the day to day running of the boat. All our charter skippers are experienced instructors so can provide as much (or as little!) informal tuition on practical sailing manoeuvres, parking the yacht, navigation and much more.

It is also possible to charter a yacht with a skipper for the start of your holiday to give you a feel for your trip, and to continue your holiday on bareboat charter as you find your feet.

Skippered Cruising Charter Rates 2012 Season

It is the responsibility of the clients to include and ensure food is provided for your skipper for the duration of the skippered charter. On days where you like to eat ashore yourselves, please ensure that food for meals is provided for your skipper onboard.

It is possible to Charter Desert Star for a particular offshore race or regatta of your choice, throughout the 2011 season. Charter Rates are the same as for skippered yacht charter, excluding race entry. Our experienced Race Skipper can provide as much or as little hands on involvement, depending on you and your crew’s racing ability. For the purposes of our insurance, our Race Skipper is responsible for the vessel at all times and must therefore be in close consultation with the team during close quarters racing.
