I never thought that learning how to use a vhf involved so much until I booked onto the course. Was absolutely shattered at the end of the course, but I learned so much, and now finally feel confident about using the vhf course

I booked on to my competent crew course and was quickly contacted with a booking form, map& directions and all the detail of what to bring – Ronan was easy to talk to and answered all my questions! The course was great craic and I felt a million miles away from Dublin even though I was just down the road!

Great course, had a laugh with the lads onboard, great craic down in Wicklow on the last day, and felt like learned loads during the week

Thanks so much for a great theory course. Peter was such a gentleman, and so patient. He answered all my questions and even helped me catch up at lunchtime, without making me feel it was any hassle.

I feel so much more confident now, if anything ever went wrong on a yacht. No one can ever teach you how to turn over a life-raft after it inflates upside down until you try and do it yourself. Discovered so many things I hadn’t thought of.

You must starting to get busy know getting ready for another busy summer. Ive landed a job for the summer on a motoryacht, wasn't what i was looking for but got offered it through a friend and its to good for the summer to say no, its the yachtmaster that got them so interested tho. thanks again for the course it was awsome i had a fantastic few months i think its was a very well run and put together course all of your instructors are fantastic and have very different teaching styles which works so well when all put together. Im hoping the crew for someone on the ARC next winter then i can do my ocean on the way, then get a job skippering a sailing yachts for the winter or first mate. Thanks again for everything!!

Thank you! Just a little note to say how much i greatly appreciate all you have done for me in sailing over the last 18 months. I called about the round ireland in 2014 looking for adventure and i have got that and so much more. I definitely did not think that it would result in silverware at the fastnet race of 2015. I have made some great memories and some even greater friends thanks to you and Irish Offshore Sailing

Dear Ronan, Congratulations on your Fastnet success. I completed my Dayskipper with you 2 years ago. It took me a while, but I got around to buying a Jeanneau Brio last year. She's moored on Lower Lough Erne. I've had many enjoyable days in her. When I was taking the course you asked me why I was doing so. I said that I wanted to share my enjoyment of sailing with others. This I am doing, having brought various friends on their first sail. Thank you for your contribution to making my dream a reality. Continued good luck with your sailing school and other projects.
